Made from organic brown rice, this fresh live red miso paste has a unique deeper scent and a mellow richer taste compared to other miso. It is made by traditional and natural fermentation methods which produce unpasteurised fresh live miso.
Live miso contains active enzymes that aid digestion, as well as helping to tenderise meat or fish. It also gives a nice Umami flavour to your dish.
Red miso paste has a longer fermentation process than white miso paste.
No GMO. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. No artifical preservatives, colours or flavours.
The colour of the miso may darken however this does not affect the quality of the product. White spots may appear on the surface which is normal in healthy authentic miso. The package may also expand due to the activity of live miso.
